Thought for the day

To realize
The value of a sister
Ask someone
Who doesn't have one.

To realize
The value of ten years:
Ask a newly
Divorced couple.

To realize
The value of four years:
Ask a graduate.

To realize
The value of one year:
Ask a student who
Has failed a final exam.

To realize
The value of nine months:
Ask a mother who gave birth to a stillborn.

To realize
The value of one month:
Ask a mother
who has given birth to
A premature baby.

To realize
The value of one week:
Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize
The value of one minute:
Ask a person
Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize
The value of one-second:
Ask a person
Who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when
you can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:

LOSE ONE.

Peace, love and prosperity to all!

Remember...

hold on tight to the ones you love!

Blagojevich

It's sad but true what they did to you,
It may be a sin but now we've got Quinn,

It's a pack of rats and a pack of thieves,
That lets morality slip up there sleeve,

You did good stuff 'till times where tough,
Your constituents thought you were really quite gruff,

You lacked the Harvard Cum Laude click,
Now the rest think they're really slick,

Now they should remember what happened to you,
Quite simply for the rest of us it really won't do,

They had better watch their P's & Q,
For next they could be just like you,

I bid you a fond farwell and Adieu

Dick and Jane meet the Blog

  • You heard the bubble of the aerators, the soft sound of the water rippling against the glass of the fishtanks. The cat was precociously perched on the arm of the couch purring with a low murmur while intermittently trying to get the couples attention by extending it's outstretched paws in their direction. It was getting late, our newlyweds Dick and Jane had been sitting in the living room playing around on the internet. They had decided to try out blogging a month ago, and Jane was off to a rolling start. It seemed that nothing could slow the tidal wave of visitors she was getting. Dick on the other hand was of to a much slower start. He first struggled with a Blog name for two days before finally committing to one. Next he began fumbling his way around the internet trying to get get a feel for what was out there. It seemed to him the logical way to approach it...Ha!...Now he was beginning to realize just how wrong he was! Jane had over eleven hundred visitors in her month of blogging, Dick on the other hand was barely past the one hundred and fifty mark...The couple had began this together and then allowed it to turn into a friendly competion of sorts, and Jane was by far the leader at this point....if you like this and want to read more vote for it in the polls....

Famous quote from Julius Caesar {100-44 BC}

"Beware of the leader who bangs of war in order to whip the citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a double-edged sword. It both emboldens the blood, just as it narrows the mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the blood boils with hate and the mind is closed, the leader will have no need in seizing the rights of the citizenry.
Rather, the citizenry infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their rights unto the leader and do it gladly so."

Julius Caesar {100-44 BC}

Poetry from Post 911 - by The Green Dragon

Way behind the stars,
Lies the USA not to far.

A place of dreams and mastery,
As intricate as the finest tapestry.

Where opportunity abounds,
And theres little for a frown.

Death comes hidden in a hollow horse,
I guess we should call it par for the course.

Death brings grief with it's powerful sword,
But don't worry honey we got the Lord!

Turtle Wax - by The Green Dragon

Hi, ok so here it is. My car which is only 2yrs old was filthy from the winter salt et cetera, so I asked a cop where is a decent car wash, he says go to turtle wax in town. So I thank him and go on my way.
Well I get to turtle wax car wash and buy the $20.00 wash. Well they vacuum and run it through the machine cleaning the interior at the end. So the guy raises his hand signaling that my car was done. I walk up tell him thank you and slip him a 10 spot, get in my car and drive next door to portillo's. Well let me tell you, I could have had two fourth graders with a hose and an old sponge and a bucket and my car would have been cleaner!....I mean geez I am sitting in my car looking at what's been done, or rather what hasn't been done and I'm thinking to myself, damn all that dough and they still couldn't perform a simple car cleaning for me...how inept!!...SO I turn right around and go back to the turtle wax facility. I promptly walk up to the general manager and let him know I have a problem. he immediately summons his line supervisor who instructs his men to make it right. Well I'm sitting there watching, really paying attention this time, and that's when I realize that everybody employed there was hispanic except for the old guy who took my money. Now this shouldn't be a big deal, except when it came time to communicate my issues with the men actually doing the job, they did not speak english!!
Ok so I get passed the language barrier, and am trying to look at the positive side of this, namely that they we're going to redo what was done....sounds good doesn't it?....Well let me tell you, they signaled me again that my car was done, so I walk over and take possession of it again. I immediately look first at the door jams half assed done, then I look at my dash, you can see the streaks from the dirty rag they used on my interior, I then look at the outside closer and can see where they dragged their dirty rags across my clean hood (yes the hood was the most clean part of the car the first time). This dismays me further to the point where I want nothing to do with the company ever again and I decided I would definetely write this in a blog which I'm doing now. So learn from my experience just say no to turtle wax car wash facilities!..it'll save you a ton of grief. Ciao and happy motoring.
